Cullberg is one of Sweden's leading touring dance companies with a strong international standing, founded by Birgit Cullberg in 1967. We present choreographers from all over the world and produce high-quality contemporary dance. Cullberg is part of Riksteatern and is based in Botkyrka, but has its own artistic direction, as well as a technical and administrative team.

Cullberg is seeking a Lighting Technician who wants to help create engaging and high-quality performing arts experiences!

About the Role
As a Lighting Technician at Cullberg, you will be responsible, together with the rest of the technical team, for the technical operations. You will work on developing solutions for upcoming productions to ensure that the artistic choices work within the touring conditions, assist lighting designers, and collaborate with the lighting department at Riksteatern. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing technical documentation for guest performance stages together with the team.
  • Maintaining and ensuring that the lighting equipment is in working condition before guest performances.
  • Touring with the performances and being responsible for packing and ordering relevant equipment.
  • Documenting the lighting design and programming of the performances in consultation with the lighting designer.
  • Creating, managing, and editing light drawings in Vectorworks.
  • Programming lights in Grand MA2 and MA3 as well as in Qlab

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in lighting work for performing arts productions.

You should also have:

  • Relevant vocational education or equivalent acquired experience.
  • Basic knowledge and experience of working with sound, video and stage.
  • Knowledge in lighting desk programming and 3D visualization.
  • Good knowledge of English.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience with contemporary dance productions.
  • Experience with touring.
  • Experience working internationally.
  • Good knowledge of Grand MA2, MA3, and Vectorworks.
  • Experience with various types of media servers and video.
  • Technical skills to perform maintenance on lighting equipment.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish.

You contribute with your knowledge and have the ability to develop ideas and new approaches that lead to concrete results. You communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and can adapt your communication to different recivers[KA1]  and situations. Additionally, you are flexible and skilled at identifying and solving problems efficiently.

Terms
We offer an exciting workplace with the opportunity to be part of creative and innovative productions. The position is a full-time role based in Hallunda, south of Stockholm. Start in October or by agreement. The position involves travel in connection with tours, both within Sweden and internationally.
